Lifeguard
Minimum Age:	16+ years old
Experience:	No work or lifeguard experience necessary.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Swim America Instructor.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Job Duties: Perform all duties and skills of a lifeguard as needed, including, but not limited to: maintaining constant supervision of patrons in the pool area enforcing all rules responding to all emergencies providing immediate rescues and/or first aid when necessary maintaining a safe and clean pool environment completing paperwork and appropriate forms as needed
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

SwimAmerica Instructor
Minimum Age:	16 years old
Experience:	Must have great people skills, no teaching experience required.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Swim America Instructor.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Job Duties: Instruct various levels of classes, pre-school through adult. Prepare to instruct all students before lessons begin. Keep track of students and their progress. Instruct all students in proper swimming technique according to instructor’s training.
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

Swim Coach
Minimum Age:	18 years old / 1 year college
Experience:	One season of lifeguard experience. Strong communication and public relations skills required. Strong leadership skills.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Swim America Instructor.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Perform all duties and skills of a lifeguard as needed including, but not limited to: Same responsibilities as a Lifeguard I and II. Supervise the operation of the pool. Supervise other staff while on duty. Assist the site supervisor with scheduling, payroll and inventory. Follow and enforce management policies and regulations Inspect equipment and check supplies routinely.
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

Manager on Duty
Minimum Age:	18 years old / 1 year college
Experience:	Two seasons of lifeguard experience. Must possess strongorganizational, communication and public relation skills. Strong leadership skills.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Swim America Instructor.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Perform all duties and skills of a lifeguard including, but not limited to: Responsible for all operational aspects including safety and pool maintenance. Schedule staff. Supervise managers-on-duty, lifeguards, instructors and cashiers while on duty. Oversees and is responsible for light book-keeping including payroll.
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

Site Supervisor
Minimum Age:	21 years old
Experience:	Three seasons of lifeguard experience. Must possess strongorganizational, communication and public relation skills.Strong leadership skills.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Swim America Instructor.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Perform all duties and skills of a lifeguard including, but not limited to: Supervise all lifeguard and instructor training and testing. Hold bi-monthly in-service trainings for each pool. Supervise site supervisors, lifeguards, managers-on-duty, cashiers and instructors.
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

Cashier
Minimum Age:	17 years old
Experience:	Cash handling experience preferred, not required.
Certifications:	American Red Cross Community CPR and First Aid.
Skills Test:	Wild Iris Lifeguarding Skills Test
Job Duties:	Perform all duties and skills of a cashier including, but not limited to: Greet patrons as they enter facility. Count working cash and actual cash made during the shift. Help out in emergency situations at the facility. Answer the phone, take messages, and make phone calls for the site supervisor, aquatic managers, and other Wild Iris administrative staff. Clean and maintain the front office area.
Shifts Available:	Varied shifts including holidays, weekends and evenings up to 40 hours per week.

Lifeguard Training Full Course Schedule

All participants must be 15 years of age on or before the first day of class.
Some prerequisites include: 500 yard continuous swim; 20 yard swim, surface dive to a depth of 7+ feet, retrieve a 10 lb. brick, and swim with the brick back to the starting area. There are NO REFUNDS once a spot has been taken in a class, so please plan accordingly when registering!

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certifications in American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
